I'm fluent, actually. Two years in Paris makes you learn pretty damn quick. It's not as impressive as it sounds, for the first year I was just bumbling around until people took pity on me.

That's amazing. I know how you feel. When I did a bunch of traveling you kind of had to pick up the language or you were gonna be screwed. Makes going to the market so much easier.

Ça l'est vraiment. Je n'ai jamais pensé que je serais le genre de personne pour apprendre une autre langue, mais c'était plus facile que je pensais qu'il serait. Vous en tomberez amoureux, la première fois que vous l'entendez. Vous voulez l'apprendre dès que vous êtes entouré par elle, et cela a aidé.

Oh, no, no way. I mean, not biologically. I own an orphanage and shelter for displaced children, and I'm temporarily running a foster home as well. But none of my own.
